OPS Maintenance Assistant
About The Position
This position involves building, maintaining, repairing, and placing trash/recycling receptacles around campus. The role includes performing basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks for Recycling and Solid Waste Department assets. Responsibilities also include driving a state vehicle to collect pallets from various campus locations and operating a forklift to load pallets onto trucks. The employee will maintain collection quantities and report to the Operations Manager, and assist in the removal of recyclables, solid waste, and other debris from campus as needed. A post-offer health assessment, a Valid Class E Driver’s License, and passing a forklift driving test are required for this position.
Requirements
- Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience.
- Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
- Valid Class E Driver’s License.
- Will be required to pass a forklift driving test.
- Post-offer health assessment required.
