This position involves maintenance work, including assisting with painting, plumbing, and minor repairs. The role also includes moving furniture, cleaning, and performing other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent. The position requires the ability to quickly learn repair methods, possess good communication skills, be flexible with various assignments, and exercise good judgment. Experience in a customer service-oriented environment is mandatory. The employee must maintain a professional attitude, promote departmental and university policies, and represent the University of North Florida and the Department of Housing and Residence Life positively and supportively to residents and guests. The applicant will use diplomacy when working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages. Willingness to learn new skills is essential.
