About The Position

Guides support services to improve operations from a systems approach, under occasional guidance. Conducts current and future process mapping, and recommends and implements changes that add to the value stream in order to meet financial targets and improve quality of care, patient safety, and overall patient satisfaction. Shares knowledge of Lean tools for continuous improvement and guides others in financial analysis of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develops project plans to include problem statement, current state, root cause analysis, future state, solutions, action plan, expected benefit, verification and follow up.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in value stream mapping.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects that improve VUMC operations.
  • Demonstrates use of appropriate analytical tools to address issues and mentors others on identifying the appropriate analytical tools.
  • Demonstrates effective mentoring and development skills for team members.
