This position involves analyzing and processing various types of medical and allied health complaints, including Code 15 Reports, civil malpractice settlements, civil complaints, hospital disciplinary reports, internet prescribing/unlicensed storefront pharmacies, and consumer complaints against Florida health care licensees. The role requires determining conformity with quality assurance principles and standards, with a particular focus on complex hospital, nursing home, and assisted living facility complaints. The analyst will analyze data, develop solutions, and consult with federal, state, and local organizations. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying statutes, policies, and regulations, reviewing documents, conducting investigations, issuing subpoenas and citations, interviewing witnesses, preparing investigative reports, and testifying at hearings. The position also involves providing technical assistance, consultative services, and direction for data and report development, implementation, and evaluation. Additionally, the role requires researching, preparing, and disseminating topical or statistical reports, acting as a liaison between various parties, evaluating and recommending changes to laws and regulations, representing the agency at meetings and hearings, and assisting with training and mediation.
