About The Position

This position reports directly to the Operations & Management Consultant II (General Services Manager) in the Bureau of Human Resources office of General Services, Operational Support unit. The incumbent in this position performs work that requires independent judgment and decision making skills. The incumbent must be able to lift 50 pounds and maintain a valid U.S driver’s license. This position will be hired at $17.32 hourly and is non-negotiable. OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment, and terminations at the pleasure of the agency head or designee. OPS employees do not serve probationary periods or become permanent in their positions because they serve at the pleasure of the agency head.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have a current valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Must be able to work from 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Current valid driver’s license.

  • Utilization of equipment, required for the position.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal mail regulations.
  • Knowledge of MyFloridaMarketPlace.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate records.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Agency Conference Center, including scheduling, setup, and breakdown of tables, chairs as well as support the audio/video needs, coordinates with Information Technology as needed.
  • Coordinates all Agency Headquarters moves in a timely and efficient manner assists the Facility Services Manager with area office moves as needed, along with the pickup of surplus property at Headquarters only.
  • Serves as primary back for assisting in creating Photo Identification Badges for new hires, transfers, separations and replacement. Ensuring the correct level of access has been assigned to each badge.
  • Serves as backup to mailroom operations including, arranging pickup and delivery schedules; maintaining adequate supplies of postage; maintaining mail processing equipment, ensure outgoing mail is processed in the most cost effective and timely manner possible.
  • Performs special projects and/or other related duties as required.
