The OPS Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is responsible for working in the Clinical Health Services Division. The incumbent will work under the Medical Services program, as well as various programmatic areas when needed within the scope of Agency protocols, State and Federal Guidelines. The medical competence, medical judgment and general practice of medicine will be evaluated through peer review. Monitoring and oversight will include, but is not limited to, an established quality improvement process with ongoing chart review. The APRN’s immediate supervisor is functionally responsible for evaluation of all standards and expectations and will facilitate access to medical consultations as needed. This is a PRN position with no guarantee of hours. The OPS Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Specialist provides comprehensive health care to Primary Care, Women’s Health/, Family Planning and STD clients at any DOH-Pinellas clinic sites including Mid County, Clearwater, St. Pete, Pinellas Park and Tarpon Springs as needed using own/personal vehicle.
