About The Position
Join New Era during our peak retail season as a Temporary Part-Time Operations Associate at our NYC Flagship Store in SoHo. This temporary opportunity is designed to support increased customer demand from late October through early January. As a Temporary Part-Time Operations Associate at New Era’s NYC Flagship Store in SoHo, you’ll ensure the store runs like clockwork by handling inventory, maintaining an organized stockroom, and supporting back-of-house operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives behind the scenes, keeping everything efficient and seamless so the team can deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
- A minimum of four (4) years of retail stockroom experience
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including climbing ladders, bending, squatting, kneeling and lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks and standing for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-first mindset
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays from late October through early January
- Familiarity with inventory systems and shipping/receiving processes is a plus
- Ability to follow operational procedures and maintain high standards of organization and accuracy
Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping and receiving, ensuring products are checked, processed, and organized accurately
- Maintain an organized and accessible stockroom, making it easy for the team to locate and replenish products
- Support inventory counts and replenishment to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize shrink
- Collaborate with team members to restock the sales floor efficiently and maintain product availability
- Support loss prevention efforts by adhering to security protocols and maintaining stockroom integrity
- Perform daily tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and maintaining a clean, polished environment that reflects New Era’s high standards
- Assist with preparing products for visual merchandising updates and store events
- Works collaboratively with the store team and may step in to support other functions and areas of the store as needed to meet customer and operational needs
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential
- Other duties as assigned
