An OPS agent is responsible for efficiently coordinating, planning, controlling, and managing the Ottawa operations.

Requirements

Must hold a valid radio licence
Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Work independently and as a team
A working knowledge of operations and billings
Act as a resourceful person who can remain calm under pressure to obtain clear information and relay the same precisely.
Good communication skills and a working knowledge of computer, radio, telephone, telex, and fax equipment
Capacity to evaluate and analyze operational needs
Ability to write clear and concise shift reports
Able to multitask and prioritize
Ability to relate to Customers, Management, other employees, and other Agencies

Responsibilities

Preparation of the flight document for the pilot.
Manual and automated weight and balance of flights.
Crew Briefing.
Manage all communications to third parties and transmit information to the concerned departments and airport authorities.
Dispatch and manage traffic messages.
Follow up for all flights.
VHF communications.
Answer to OPS calls.
Enter all services and all flight information in the system.
Any other duties related to the job qualification.
File and secure flight ops paperwork, including shredding after 90 days. No files should be left unsecured.
