Requirements

  • Knowledge in computer software applications (e.g. MS Access, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of HIPPA and maintenance of confidentiality
  • Skills in effective verbal and written communication
  • Skills in problem solving.
  • Skills in critical thinking-judgment and decision making.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
  • Incumbent may have access to records containing Social Security numbers in the performance of their job duties.
  • All Florida Department of Health positions require the incumbent to be able to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Processes IT Job Sheets – Once a job is completed for computer install/relocation/removal, add written information needed on the sheets, close the job sheet and then file it.
  • Assist with IT inventory asset management
  • File Building Access Request Forms once processed by IT.
  • Complete Incoming Equipment Logs as needed, and file once processed by IT.
  • Check in laptops and other IT equipment brought in for servicing.
  • Complete IT equipment purchases and ensures office supplies are maintained and orders for low supplies submitted timely.
  • Assist with e-recycling coordination/pickup of old computers and tech equipment.
  • Assist with answering calls from the IT Coverage Answer Group and working minor tickets.
  • Assist with mailroom runs in our building, schedule mail pickups for returns.
  • Other clerical duties as needed.
