About The Position

Opposing Forces Staff Lead The Opportunity: As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe. What You'll Work On: Direct the OPFOR contractor staff during day-to-day operations. Assist the government in leading the OPFOR military decision-making process to develop OPFOR competitive Operations Orders. Ensure all Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) requirements are submitted on time and that they meet or exceed standards. Work directly with the military OPFOR Commander. Direct the OPFOR staff of approximately 30 people representing all warfighting functions. Direct preparation of FRAGORDs as required. Conduct or direct Commander’s Updates Briefs and Shift Change Briefs as required. Work collaboratively with the Blue Orders writers to ensure quality of Annex B Intelligence and Enemy Situation paragraphs. Attend Event Life Cycle (ELC) events as required. Join us. Requirements

  • Experience as a field grade officer, warrant officer, or sergeant major
  • Experience serving in a key developmental position at brigade or battalion level
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint regulations and current doctrine
  • Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 20% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Completion of Military Education Level 4 (MEL4)

Nice To Haves

  • 20+ years of experience of military service in the combat arms
  • Experience as a former Battalion or higher commander
  • Experience with Constructive Simulation Models such as Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) or Warfighters Simulation (WARSIM)
  • Experience working with the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP)
  • Knowledge of FM 7-100 OPFOR Hybrid Threat doctrine
  • Master's degree
