About The Position

The Opportunity Program Recruiter is responsible for outreach and recruitment efforts for the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program and TRiO Student Support Services at Middlesex College. This part-time role involves engaging with prospective students, families, and community organizations to promote the college and its support programs. The recruiter will assist students through the application and enrollment process, maintain records, and prepare reports on recruitment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Recruitment experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the area
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Provides presentations and information about Middlesex College and the EOF/TRIO Program to prospective students, families, high schools, community organizations, and other groups.
  • Represents the EOF Program at College fairs, high school visits, open houses, information sessions, community events, and other assigned recruitment activities. Represents EOF/TRIO in On-Campus Recruitment Activities.
  • Maintains regular communication with prospective and applied students through email, telephone calls, text messages, social media, and other approved communication methods.
  • Uses the College’s Customer Relationship Management system and Internal EOF/TRIO SSS recruitment systems to contact students who have expressed an interest in the EOF/TRIO Student Support Services and document outreach efforts.
  • Assists prospective students with completing College applications, EOF/TRIO forms, and other required enrollment documents.
  • Helps students understand and complete onboarding requirements related to financial aid, placement or testing, academic advising, registration, orientation, and campus activities.
  • Conducts follow-up outreach to students who have incomplete applications, missing documents, unfinished financial aid requirements, or other outstanding enrollment steps.
  • Schedules prospective students for EOF/TRIO interviews and provides instructions regarding required documents and next steps.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential records of student contacts, applications, recruitment activities, and enrollment progress.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Middlesex College’s academic programs, student services, financial aid resources, enrollment procedures, and EOF/TRIO Student Support Services Program requirements.
  • Prepares basic weekly and monthly reports related to outreach activities, student contacts, applications, interviews, enrollment progress, and recruitment events.
  • Participates in assigned EOF/TRIO Student Support Services and Admissions meetings, assists with recruitment projects and events, and performs other related duties as assigned.
