About The Position

The Ophthalmic Technician provides clinical care in collaboration with other clinic staff and assists with administrative duties, as needed, under the direction of the leadership and providers. Accountable for the coordination of clinical care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
  • Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology - Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
  • Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology - Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
