About The Position

Denver Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist to join their team as an Intermittent/PRN Ophthalmologist. This role involves covering patient care and supervising ophthalmology residents on an as-needed basis. The position includes teaching and supervising residents in a resident-run clinic, potentially including subspecialty clinics like retina and glaucoma. Experience teaching and supervising residents in the operating room, particularly with cataract surgery, is a plus. Requirements

Graduation from an Accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Programs and fellowships for specialist, or equivalent required.
Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Medical license to practice in State of Colorado required.
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required.
MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required.
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
Computer skill required - Proficient in Outlook and general EHR functionality.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the Epic EHR platform.
Ability to teach and supervise residents in the operating room, particularly with cataract surgery.
