About The Position

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group in the Sacramento region, is looking to add an Ophthalmologist to our clinic in Folsom. Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
Active medical license to practice in the state of California.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Dedication to providing high-quality patient care with a focus on compassion and empathy.
Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
Willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases.
Perform surgical procedures, such as Cataract surgery, Femtosecond laser for cataract surgery, Pterygium, MIGS, lasers for iridotomies, capsulotomies, and SLT.
Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and treatments for patients.
Provide expert advice and counseling to patients regarding their eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists and primary care physicians, for coordinated patient care.
Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in relevant continuing education activities.
