About The Position
Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking a full-time General Ophthalmologist to join their premier, physician-led, multi-specialty group in San Diego. This role offers a 4-day workweek with an average patient load of 23-25 patients per clinic day, focusing on new consults, follow-ups, and office-based minor procedures. The practice will handle general ophthalmology patients, and call is taken one week at a time, approximately 3-4 weeks per year. The group provides excellent support staff and a collegial work environment, with an integrated EMR system and a built-in referral system due to a large network of primary care providers.
Requirements
- Board-eligible/board-certified physician in Ophthalmology
- Must become board certified within the first two years of employment if a fellow
Responsibilities
- See new consults
- Manage follow-up appointments
- Perform office-based surgery and minor procedures
- Provide general ophthalmology patient care
- Participate in general ophthalmology call rotation (1 week at a time, ~3-4 weeks/year)
