About The Position

Endeavor Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist to join its established and growing Division of Ophthalmology. The role offers the opportunity to develop a high-volume glaucoma practice within the largest multispecialty ophthalmology group on Chicago’s North Shore, supported by an internal referral network, modern infrastructure, and a collaborative, physician-led environment. The group includes 14 ophthalmologists and four optometrists, including nine comprehensive ophthalmologists, many with subspecialty training. The position has significant growth potential and serves a large insured patient population. The practice provides access to advanced diagnostic and surgical technology, an integrated Epic EMR, and patient access across multiple sites. Clinical resources include Humphrey Visual Field analyzers, Spectralis and Cirrus OCT, SLT and YAG lasers, a PASCAL retina laser system, Optos fundus imaging, and IOL Master 700. The surgical center at Glenbrook Hospital includes Centurion phacoemulsification systems, a ZEPTOLink IOL positioning system, ORA intraoperative aberrometry, Zeiss Artevo microscopes with Callisto, and intraoperative OCT. These resources support laser, MIGS, and incisional glaucoma surgery. The position is based in Skokie, Gurnee, and Glenbrook Hospital. It is full-time, with 40 clinical hours per week for 46 weeks per year. The role is part of a physician-led integrated medical group within a nationally recognized health system and is academically affiliated with the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, with opportunities for teaching and professional development. The position offers clinical autonomy, institutional support, and an academic affiliation without heavy research requirements. Endeavor Health is an integrated healthcare system serving more than 4.2 million residents across northeast Illinois, with more than 300 ambulatory sites and eight Magnet-recognized hospitals. The organization describes its mission as providing quality, community-connected care and supporting physician growth, collaboration, and career development.
