About The Position

The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in surgical retina to join their growing team of 15 faculty members. This is a faculty position with opportunities and expectations for research as well as medical student, resident, and fellow teaching. Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist
Fellowship training in surgical retina

Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for diseases and surgery of the posterior segment.
Collaborate with other services to manage multidisciplinary cases.
Participate in clinical trials and implementation of protocols.
Engage in academic activities including teaching medical students, residents and fellows and fostering basic science and clinical research.

The Department will begin an ophthalmology residency in 2028 and a vitreoretinal fellowship.
