About The Position

Morlen Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology to join the Central Interstate team in Portland, Oregon. This physician will be part of an integrated and compassionate team, providing a mix of Pediatric and Comprehensive Ophthalmology. The practice offers significant surgical volume and treats a wide range of ophthalmologic disorders. The role involves serving as the primary Pediatric Ophthalmologist, with a patient population primarily consisting of children, supplemented by adult strabismus care and participation in general comprehensive call rotations. Responsibilities include a half-day surgery block on Tuesday mornings and weekly rounding for Retinopathy of Prematurity at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center NICU. The amount of subspecialty work may fluctuate based on patient and team needs. The practice utilizes advanced technology and a collaborative care model, with Optometry partners supporting routine exams and refractions. This physician will also lead the pediatric patient care managed by Optometry.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology

Responsibilities

  • Manage a patient population primarily consisting of pediatric patients.
