About The Position

Center For Sight, part of US Eye, is hiring an ophthalmic technician in Port Charlotte, Florida. The role is designed for candidates who are new to the medical field as well as those with relevant experience. The employer provides intensive classroom and hands-on training to prepare the employee for a career in ophthalmology. The technician works alongside ophthalmic surgeons and optometrists, performing diagnostic testing and examinations and providing doctors with information used to guide medical and surgical treatment. The training also offers a path toward advanced, internationally recognized certification. The position is full-time and may require travel to other locations as necessary.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer-service focus.
Ability to learn and apply complex concepts to daily work.
Ability to develop strong connections with patients and communicate with warmth and empathy.
Team-oriented approach and interest in helping and supporting others.
Motivation and resilience, with an interest in growing a medical career within a surgical practice.
