About The Position

Palm Beach Eye Center is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join their growing team at their Delray and Lake Worth locations. This is a Monday-Friday, Day shift position with no weekends or holidays, emphasizing work-life balance. The center is an established vision and ophthalmology center with several locations in Florida, offering compassionate and personalized treatment for common and complex eye conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced doctors and team members, advancing one's ophthalmic career.

Requirements

• Strong Ophthalmic Tech experience
• Refractions experience
• Experience with checking vision and identifying chief complaint
• IOP measurement experience
• Knowledge of various diagnostic tests (Fundus photos, OCT, Visuals)
• Strong hospitality, customer service, and patient care skills
• Experienced in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications.
• Experienced with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting.
• Proficient with EMR computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients and documenting histories efficiently and accurately.
• Ensuring charts are updated and accurate.
• Performing various diagnostic tests including Fundus photos, OCT, and Visuals.
• Checking vision and identifying chief complaint.
• Measuring Intraocular Pressure (IOP).
