Harborview Medical Center Eye Institute has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Days Ophthalmic Technician 2, Acute Care Rapid Team. Requirements
- Completion of an approved ophthalmic technician program and one year of experience: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Equivalent education/experience.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Responsibilities
- Assist and/or perform complex clinical diagnostic eye examinations and procedures as delegated by the optometry, ophthalmology and acute eye care team.
- Complete all ophthalmic imaging tests as ordered by the physicians such as Amler tests, Stereo- tests, Applanation tonometry, Togopen Visual Field Goldman.
- Perform complex clinical diagnostic eye imaging and procedures within the scope of certification, including patient intake activities, routine technical procedures, administering topical medications, and assisting with procedures.
- Demonstrate proactive, professional communication across and within the department to facilitate smooth workflow and ensure the department is positively represented throughout the organization.
