This is a part-time position for an Ophthalmic Technician. The role involves greeting patients, obtaining and transcribing patient history and physician dictations into the EHR, maintaining patient confidentiality, and escorting patients. The technician will assist physicians with supplies, perform various vision tests (visual acuity, autorefraction, lensometry, tonometry, visual field testing, glare testing, color vision testing, Schirmer's tear testing), and determine if further testing is needed. Responsibilities also include reviewing patient charts, posting test results, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. The role requires the ability to work with patients of all ages, including geriatric patients.
