Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience using an EMR/EHR system (NextGen preferred)
Previous medical or customer service experience is preferred but not required
Knowledge of ophthalmic medications is a plus
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and verify patient identity
Perform a variety of ophthalmic tests, including: Visual Fields (VF), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), A-Scan/IOL Master, B-Scan, Fundus and optic nerve photography, Corneal Topography (CT), Endothelial Cell Count (ECC), Dry Eye Testing, Auto Refraction, Tonometry, Lensometry
Ensure testing is accurate and upload results for physician review
Instill prescribed eye drops for dilation, anesthesia, or treatment
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
Prepare and stock exam rooms while maintaining infection control standards
Assist with patient messages, urgent concerns, and clinic workflow
Educate and support patients throughout their visit
Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to deliver outstanding patient care
Travel between clinic locations as needed
