About The Position
Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team as an Ophthalmic Technician! This is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment. Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you! The work schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Tuesdays from 8 AM to 5 PM or 1 PM to 8 PM. A minimum of 2 Saturdays per month are required from 8 AM to Noon. Up to 40 hours per week are available.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures.
- Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
- Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
- Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
- Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
- Administer eye drops.
- Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
