Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ophthalmic experience

Responsibilities

  • Assisting ophthalmologists during patient examinations and procedures
  • Accurately documenting examination findings, assessments, and treatment recommendations
  • Taking and recording patient medical histories
  • Educating patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
  • Maintaining efficient patient flow and communication regarding appointment status
  • Performing patient workups and specialized ophthalmic testing
  • Administering eye medications as directed
  • Assisting with in-office laser procedures and treatments
  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining ophthalmic equipment
  • Triaging patient phone calls and coordinating care
  • Assisting patients with contact lens insertion and removal
  • Gain experience using advanced diagnostic equipment, such as: Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp, Pentacam/Corneal Topography, Wavescan, IOL Master, Zeiss OCT, Heidelberg OCT, Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer, Pachymetry, Tonometry, Color Vision Testing, Extraocular Muscle Function Testing, And more
