Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of ophthalmic technician or ophthalmic assistant experience required
- Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, clinical workflows, and patient care standards
- Basic understanding of medical coding terminology and conventions
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy clinical setting
- Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist where needed

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient workups and ophthalmic testing
- Accurately document examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations, procedures, and in-office laser treatments
- Obtain and document patient medical histories
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations
- Ensure patients understand physician instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain efficient patient flow and communicate appointment status
- Administer ophthalmic medications as directed
- Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic equipment
- Triage patient phone calls according to clinical protocols
- Assist patients with contact lens insertion and removal
