About The Position

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor to work with an ophthalmic medical team. The role involves creating images of patients’ retinas, corneas, and other ocular structures to support diagnosis and treatment planning for eye-related problems. The position also includes supervising ophthalmology team members and responsibilities involving clinical and departmental photography and imaging equipment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with an ophthalmic medical team to create images of patients’ retinas, corneas, and other ocular structures to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Make, edit, and maintain digital 2D, 3D, video, and photographic images for surgical planning and documentation, research, presentations, publications, and department promotion in print and online.
• Photograph images for web services and brochures.
• Supervise ophthalmology team members, including ophthalmic technicians and ophthalmic imagers.
• Research, select, and maintain cameras, studio lighting equipment, backgrounds, posing platforms, photo printers, computers, software, and file storage options.
