About The Position

Emplify Health is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Float Ophthalmic Technician I to assist optometrists in providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic tests, and supporting an efficient clinic workflow. The position works 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during daytime hours scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday work is not required. This is a float position requiring travel among clinic locations in Viroqua, La Crosse, Onalaska, Tomah, Waukon, Decorah, Prairie du Chien, Black River Falls, Whitehall, Winona, Wabasha, Sparta, Hillsboro, and Friendship.

The role provides a quality optical experience to patients and guests. The starting pay is $20.31 per hour, with additional pay for experience. Emplify Health describes itself as a not-for-profit, patient-centered healthcare network and an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Two years of work experience in optical, patient service, or customer service.
• Obtain Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification through JCAHPO within 18 months of hire.
