About The Position
The Ophthalmic Medical Technician position requires utilization of clinical knowledge to assist Ophthalmologists by performing eye related clinical tasks such as: taking patient medical history, instructing patients about medications, performing vision and diagnostic tests, assisting with patient procedures, coordinating patient scheduling, and training other ophthalmic personnel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be organized
- Able to manage demanding workload with accuracy
- Willing to travel to any of our three locations
Nice To Haves
- One year of relevant work experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Taking patient medical history
- Instructing patients about medications
- Performing vision and diagnostic tests
- Assisting with patient procedures
- Coordinating patient scheduling
- Training other ophthalmic personnel
- Responding to both written and oral correspondence regarding patients in a timely, accurate manner
