About The Position

Ophthalmic Medical Technician Hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Ophthalmic Medical Technician position requires utilization of clinical knowledge to assist Ophthalmologists by performing eye related clinical tasks such as: taking patient medical history, instructing patients about medications, performing vision and diagnostic tests, assisting with patient procedures, coordinating patient scheduling, and training other ophthalmic personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel between our four clinic locations.
  • Must be able to pass pre employment background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and accurately to written and oral correspondence regarding patient care.
  • Maintain organization while managing a demanding workload.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Take patient medical history.
  • Instruct patients about medications.
  • Perform vision and diagnostic tests.
  • Assist with patient procedures.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling.
  • Train other ophthalmic personnel.
