Requirements

  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of ophthalmic clinical experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, equipment, and clinical best practices
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel between all three office locations (Chicago, Lombard, and Elgin)
  • Experience working with Nextech EMR systems
  • Strong understanding of MIPS/MACRA documentation and compliance

Nice To Haves

  • LASIK experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the ophthalmic clinic team
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction are maintained at all times
  • Manage clinic schedules, patient flow, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency
  • Oversee clinical procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for staff members
  • Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to develop and implement operational policies and procedures
  • Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement improvements as needed
  • Maintain inventory of ophthalmic supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration
  • Address patient concerns and resolve issues promptly to uphold quality service standards
