Requirements
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) required
- Minimum of 2 years of ophthalmic clinical experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, equipment, and clinical best practices
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to travel between all three office locations (Chicago, Lombard, and Elgin)
- Experience working with Nextech EMR systems
- Strong understanding of MIPS/MACRA documentation and compliance
Nice To Haves
- LASIK experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the ophthalmic clinic team
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction are maintained at all times
- Manage clinic schedules, patient flow, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency
- Oversee clinical procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for staff members
- Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement improvements as needed
- Maintain inventory of ophthalmic supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration
- Address patient concerns and resolve issues promptly to uphold quality service standards
