Fairview is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pediatric ophthalmologists and other eye care professionals in providing exceptional care to children and their families. You will assist with patient intake, vision testing, diagnostic procedures, patient education, and clinic operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to improving children's eye health. This is a full-time, day-shift position working Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with 8-hour shifts. Enjoy a predictable schedule with no weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on the lives of pediatric patients. Assists physicians and clinical/clerical staff in the efficient daily clinic flow of patients in the clinic. Assists ophthalmologists and optometrists in the preparation and examination of patients with ophthalmic diseases of the eye. Facilitates efficient patient flow in the clinic including scheduling appointments and tests, enters EMR patient information, administers eye drops, and assists with minor procedures. Listens effectively in order to follow instructions from multiple sources.
