About The Position
Carolina Eyecare Physicians is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join their team. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
- Willing to train the right person
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience within the medical field
- Experience in optometry or ophthalmology a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment
- Conduct tonometry tests to measure intraocular pressure
- Measure visual acuity
- Take and document patients' medical histories
- Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications
- Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision
- Instruct patients in the care and use of contact lenses
