About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join their growing and thriving organization. This role offers hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers across Gundersen Health System. Comprehensive training is provided, meaning no prior optical experience is needed. The position offers exposure to a specialty care environment with opportunities for growth and learning. The role involves supporting providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience
• Strong communication skills and a desire to help patients feel informed and comfortable

Nice To Haves

• No prior ophthalmic or optical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Be based at Gundersen’s La Crosse Main Campus.
• Have the opportunity to travel to various Gundersen optical locations.
• Support providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments.
