About The Position

The Estée Lauder Companies is recruiting an OpEx, IE & Change Parts Intern for a 13-month placement at Whitman Laboratories. The role is part of the Operational Excellence team at a key manufacturing site that produces around one-fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output. The internship offers hands-on experience in operational excellence, industrial engineering, and new product change part development in a manufacturing environment, including day-to-day operations and longer-term improvement projects.

Requirements

• Currently studying toward an undergraduate engineering degree or related subject and on track to achieve a 2:1 standard or higher.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• A chemical, industrial, or mechanical engineering degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production equipment validation (PQ) and assist with the successful launch of new products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the assembly floor.
• Carry out 3D design, testing, and printing to support change part development.
• Produce technical documentation and collaborate with engineers and technical operators.
• Coordinate with external vendors to help ensure project milestones and timelines are achieved.
