About The Position

Responsible for manually operating safety door on molding machine to extract molded parts or load molding fixtures/hand loads, to produce plastic parts. Must remain at machine for duration of shift as required except for scheduled break times. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform all duties in a safe manner while supporting and encouraging the company’s safety culture. Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment. Perform all job duties with a positive, collaborative, and encouraging attitude.

Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job.
Must remain at machine for duration of shift as required except for scheduled break times.
Pre-employment and 9 panel (no THC) Drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Manually operate safety door on molding machine to extract molded parts or load molding fixtures/hand loads.
Perform secondary operations on molded parts to include trimming with knives and/or clippers, use of hand or power tools to separate molded parts from hand loads.
Shut down a machine in an emergency.
Clean all auxiliary equipment to include hoppers, grinders and dryers.
Identify and understand material tickets.
Answer alarms on the machine.
Shut off water to the mold in case of a large leak.
Collect first shots and last shots.
Complete Production Orders and Machine Cards.
Use limit samples/workmanship standards properly.
Understand and perform rework procedures.
Be available to work overtime as needed.
Question and report anything that doesn’t seem quite right to your supervisor immediately.
Adhere to all company policies regarding conduct, safety practices, and job performance.
Participate in-group and individual training.
