About The Position

Avantor is seeking an Operator to join their team in Paris, KY. This role involves performing manufacturing activities by adhering to defined procedures and standard outputs to ensure consistent production quality. Tasks include assembling mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products, and/or using various hand and power tools and operating equipment. The operator will also fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements, monitor the quality of products and raw materials, and communicate with colleagues to maintain alignment and efficiency. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and operational guidelines is crucial for seamless manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience preferred in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• General understanding of semi-automated and/or automated equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of computer applications is desirable.
• Ability to evaluate internal customer needs, and respond with appropriate action/delivery.

Responsibilities

• Performs manufacturing activities by adhering to a defined set of procedures and standard outputs to ensure consistent production quality.
• Assembling mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products.
• Operating equipment which may include jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses in order to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and/or assemble.
• Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements.
• Monitors quality of products and raw materials.
• Communicates with colleagues within manufacturing to exchange information, providing explanations or interpretations as necessary to maintain alignment and efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and operational guidelines to support seamless manufacturing processes.
