About The Position

Operate machinery in a food manufacturing setting, ensuring adherence to GMPs and food safety procedures. This role requires responsibility and knowledge of machinery operation, cleaning, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
Avoid using raw material that may be damaged or defective be it, color, appearance, expiration date, etc.
Verify that the product in process is within product specification, color, appearance, diameter and weight.
Start up and shut down machinery.
Verify machinery temperature (within product specification).
Clean the machinery on a daily basis.
Document all pertinent information on the mixing logs.
Inform the Lead and Supervisor of any discrepancies in product or problems with machinery.
Comply with quality assurance regulations, SQF, and food safety.
Follow all safety procedures in a proper manner.
Dress appropriately and wear all required personal protective equipment assigned (PPE).
Use lockout/tag out devices and procedures as required.
Waste water management.
Other duties may be assigned based on department and business needs.
