About The Position

Green Circle Growers Inc. is seeking an Operator for their night shift in Oberlin, OH. This role involves performing repetitive tasks on machines, monitoring their operation, and performing minor repairs. Operators may manage multiple machines in an automated setup and are responsible for tracking production output. They must also notify management of any downtime within 15 minutes, assist with machine maintenance and cleaning, and support the training of new and existing team members. The role may also involve operating electric carts and climbing ladders.

• Willing to work independently; Have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willing to work evening, holidays and occasional weekends as scheduled by Supervisor/Manager.
• Able to work harmoniously with other employees from a variety of backgrounds.
• Able to stand/walk 8+ hours.
• Able to bend/squat.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds; Up to 50lbs for some jobs.
• Able to push/pull loaded plant carts weighing up to 200 lbs; 300 lbs. for some jobs.
• Able to work with small equipment or willing to learn these skills.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures (safety-conscious).
• Adapt to changing working conditions.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one-year experience as machine operator.
• Must be able to speak English.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive jobs on machines.
• Monitor machines constantly.
• Perform minor repairs on machines.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously in an automated setup.
• Enter the number of items produced by the machine every hour or in a shift.
• Notify Plant Manager within 15 minutes of downtime.
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning machines before and after each shift.
• Assist with the training and guidance of new and existing crew members.
• Drive electric carts.
• Climb ladders.
