About The Position

This role involves operating equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supervision instructions. The operator will be responsible for completing required documentation accurately, ensuring correct raw materials and quantities are used, and adjusting equipment and process settings to meet production standards. The position also includes inspecting and maintaining equipment for safety and proper processing, monitoring product quality through inspections and analytical testing, and completing daily shift production logs. Coordination with lab technicians, reporting deviations, and communicating with other personnel are also key aspects of the role. Familiarity with operation software and experience with lab testers and plant equipment are necessary. This position requires the ability to work different shifts, including overtime, and adapt to potential shift reassignments. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Must have a forklift truck certification or be able to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum one-year process and equipment experience in either Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Fermentation or Bio-tech or related experience.
  • Excellent computer skills; familiarity with operation software.
  • Experience working with lab testers and plant equipment.
  • Ability to work different shifts and overtime. This includes the possibility of short-term and long-term shift reassignment to match the needs of the business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload priorities and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to use the required senses to comprehend, follow instructions and initiate work duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to travel domestically 0-5% of the time when necessary, by typical modes of transportation (e.g., car/truck).

Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment following SOP’s and Supervision instructions.
  • Completes required documentation as required completely and neatly.
  • Ensures proper RM’s and RM quantities are being used by following and understanding documentation.
  • Adjusts equipment and process settings to ensure that production is performed per SOP and instructions.
  • Inspects and maintains the equipment to ensure safety and proper processing.
  • Inspects the quality of the product and documents the result at specified intervals of the production process.
  • Performs routine analytical testing as required to properly control the process.
  • Completes daily shift production logs.
  • Coordinates with lab technicians to ensure product quality.
  • Monitors and reports deviations from production standards.
  • Communicates with other on-site personnel when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
