Responsibilities

  • Cleans resin drums to prescribes Work Instructions
  • Compounds (blends, mixes) raw materials and distributes to extrusion equipment areas.
  • Mixing different raw materials together using scales, volumetric cylinders, tumblers, and other mixing equipment.
  • Shaking, rolling, and mixing containers as required.
  • Install proper tooling, load, run and monitor extruder with minimum downtime.
  • Make pre-forms out of resin as specified on production instructions.
  • Measure and maintain correct film thickness.
  • Keep tooling and machines in good working condition.
  • Clean, polish and properly maintain film and preform tooling.
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain good communications within the department.
  • Document process parameters and conditions on prescribed Worksheets
  • Setup, run and troubleshoot Calendaring and Tentering production lines per prescribed practices and instructions
  • Properly package Calendared and Tentered products for storage prior to downstream operations
  • Document process parameters and conditions on prescribed Worksheets
  • Mechanically and visually inspects the product being produced on the machines.
  • Assures that the product is being produced to meet all of the customer’s requirements.
  • Packages the product per prescribed instructions
