Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Food product packaging and/or blending experience preferred
  • Shipping and/or receiving experience preferred
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and follow through to completion
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Solid understanding of basic math and science and the ability to apply this knowledge
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail oriented and safety minded
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Required to bend, twist and use stairs/ladders.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Previous production or bakery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure products are mixed, packaged, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Receive raw materials, weigh and blend ingredients.
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Stage required raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Follow a recipe to create a blend to be mixed.
  • Follow procedures to package product in various packaging types.
  • Complete in-process production checks.
  • Document, inspect, and unload materials per written procedures.
  • Prepare products for shipment, load trucks, and complete required paperwork.
  • Operate fork truck and floor scrubber.
  • Maintain warehouse and production areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform routine and non-routine cleaning inside and outside of the facility.
  • Accurately report data and maintain records.
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Lesaffre's safety-first culture by strictly following all safety protocols and participating in required safety programs.
  • Understand and effectively utilize all employee safety programs to ensure proper procedures are being followed.
