About The Position
Wharton-Smith, Inc. currently has immediate openings in the Central Florida area for an Operator (Heavy Equipment) position. We offer a competitive salary and field benefits. We are also seeking qualified crane operators for Jacksonville. This position will require travel throughout the NE Florida area. Must have transportation to get to job site.
Requirements
- Certification as required by OSHA or Manufacturer for specific pieces of equipment.
- Must have transportation to get to job site.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma and on-the-job training
- Experience working in the construction industry.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Rigging training.
Responsibilities
- Operates heavy equipment including, but not limited to, backhoes, material handlers, excavators, dozers, and loaders for use in foundation excavation, site grading, material placement and pipe laying.
