About The Position

The Township of St. Clair is seeking a motivated individual for a full-time Operations, Works position within the Public Works Operations Department. Working directly under the supervision of the Crew Leader, the principal responsibilities for this position include all regular operation, maintenance and repair functions of the Public Works Department requiring both manual labour and the operation of equipment.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Valid Class A-Z Ontario driver’s license
  • Experience in the operation of construction equipment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Winter maintenance experience
  • Construction equipment operation experience
  • Commercial vehicle operation experience
  • Storm water collection systems experience
  • Water distribution systems experience
  • Wastewater collection systems experience

Responsibilities

  • All regular operation, maintenance and repair functions of the Public Works Department requiring both manual labour and the operation of equipment.
  • Dealing with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Working after hours.
