About The Position

With little supervision, this role conducts and operates all equipment in recycling, capable of performing all operational procedures for the production of Recycled PET pellets (RPET) on the Erema Line. The operator is capable of performing basic housekeeping and turn-around of the Erema Line, as well as performing all required testing of produced RPET. This position follows all written, verbal, and visual work instructions. Employees in this position must take pride in their work and the cleanliness of their workstations, practicing 5S principles in all areas of their work and embracing a Zero Accident Culture with safety in the workplace.

Requirements

• Lock-out/tag-out training
• Basic hazardous communication training
• PPE training
• On the job safety review
• Powered Industrial Truck certification

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of Utility Operator Recycling Position
• Understand written, verbal and visual instructions
• Perform accurate written and computer data entry
• Test RPET produced as well as material being used or received
• Operate EREMA RPET Extrusion Line
• Perform basic housekeeping and turn-around of EREMA RPET Extrusion Line
• Climb stairs, ladders, and perform other physical aspects of the job
• Follow written Work Order instructions using proper materials
• Operate certified fork truck, clamp truck and pole truck
• Understand all job hazards and demonstrate safe behaviors
• Maintain clean work environment (housekeeping, 5S) with little/no supervision
• Use efficient time management skills
• Prioritize internal and external job functions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Perform routine equipment cleanings and upkeep
• Support other production areas and all other duties as needed/required
