Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking an Operator, Production, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Supervisor, Production, the Operator, Production is responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and bulk format finishing/packaging of cheese in accordance with the standards and safety objectives established by Senior Management of the company.

Requirements

Sound communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
Must be self-motivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative, and work well with minimal supervision
Must be available to work various shifts, weekends, and work overtime as required
Demonstrate ability to use computer software and programs
Proficiency and dependability in current position

Responsibilities

Operate all production equipment as per standard operating procedures to ensure the highest quality product possible
Responsible for receiving of raw materials such as incoming milk, UF Milk, cream, secondary culture, and whey
Record all required data and inventory entries with a high level of accuracy
Understand the disassembly & assembly of cheese production equipment
Assist in the manufacturing process and cleaning process as required
Ensure that safe conditions exist always within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees and comply with all requirements as stated in the Health and Safety policy
Full participation in the HACCP program and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices
Ensure the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resource
Must demonstrate teamwork, co-operation, responsibility, initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Other duties as assigned
