Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least a minimum three (3) months machine experience or training.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Required to stand for lengthy periods of time, wear mask, tyvek suit and withstand hot working environment.
  • Close/peripheral vision required.
  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturing orders.
  • Basic math and ability to use calculator.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English oral and written format.
  • Ability to subtract and add four to five digit numbers.
  • Must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ lbs.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to iTAR restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operation on assigned machines used in the production of the company’s product.
  • Work under the technical leadership of a Lead or other more skilled employee.
  • Receive periodic checks of work in process and complete inspection of final work for compliance with job standards.
  • Utilize operating work instructions, manufacturing orders, and instructions from supervisor or lead to perform production tasks.
  • Control and adjust machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor settings on machine using electronic displays and visual checks.
  • Use simple measurement instruments such as calipers, gauges, and scales to verify correct product build specifications.
  • Identify quality defects during production process and notify appropriate person.
  • Accurately complete traceability forms for production process as well as EHS requirements.
  • Be able to perform operator PM functions on assigned machine.
  • Adhere to PPE requirements, to include respirator, gloves, apron, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and appropriate sleeves or Tyvek suits as needed.
  • Be familiar with the process flow of product through the assigned department.
  • Navigate and use basic computer programs to record necessary quality information.
  • Keep operating area clean, which could include vacuuming, mopping, or washing down equipment.
  • Adhere to the applicable training program for constant progress to ensure growth within the department.
