About The Position

The Operator Packaging role at Mylan Technologies, Inc. supports manufacturing production by assisting with equipment setup and operation, monitoring product and process quality, maintaining clean work areas, documenting production activities, and helping train and coordinate operators. The role includes calibration tasks and may serve as a backup to the Senior Operator as directed by a supervisor or manager. This position is designated for third shift and is eligible for a 20% shift differential. The stated salary range is $58,240.00–$67,000.00; exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least two years of experience; a combination of experience and/or education may be considered.
Good mechanical, communication, time-management, organizational, interpersonal, writing, and computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to wear a respirator, hear an alarm, identify small defects, and distinguish between colors.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect products during operation and monitor equipment and processes for proper operation; seek maintenance assistance when problems arise and recommend improvements.
Assist with setting up and operating production equipment.
Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required, and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
Document material runs using Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
Assist with training new personnel in manufacturing operations as directed by a supervisor or manager.
Perform calibration of scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, and other equipment as instructed.
Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as backup to the Senior Operator as directed by a supervisor or manager.
