About The Position

The Operator Packaging role at Mylan Technologies, Inc. (Viatris) supports production operations by inspecting products, assisting with equipment setup and operation, maintaining clean manufacturing areas, documenting production activity, and supporting operator training and coordination. The position is for 3rd shift and is eligible for a 20% shift differential. The stated salary range is $58,240.00–$67,000.00; exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least two years of experience; a combination of experience and/or education will be considered.
Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Ability to hear an alarm.
Ability to identify small defects.
Ability to distinguish between colors.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect products during operation and observe equipment and processes for proper operation.
Seek maintenance assistance when problems arise and recommend improvements.
Assist with setup and operation of production equipment.
Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required, and keep the work area clean and orderly.
Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
Document material runs using Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
Assist in training new personnel in manufacturing operations as directed by a supervisor or manager.
Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, and other equipment as instructed.
Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as a backup to the Senior Operator as directed by a supervisor or manager.
