About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining a Petroleum Coke Handling System, which includes a PLC-controlled conveyor system. Daily tasks involve operating the conveyor/crusher system, performing daily inspections, cleaning up after use, and basic maintenance. The position also requires operating heavy equipment such as frontend loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, water trucks, and large excavators. The Operator will also complete daily paperwork, assist maintenance personnel, and take an active role in the safety program.

Requirements

• 1 year of refinery, plant, or industrial experience.
• Class B CDL preferred.
• Read, write, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Environmental & Safety Awareness.
• Cooperates and works well with others in either one-on-one or group situations.
• Contributes actively to team objectives, takes on responsibilities, and is responsible for actions.

Responsibilities

• Operate/maintain Petroleum Coke Handling System including PLC-controlled conveyor system.
• Perform daily operation, inspection, and clean-up of the conveyor/crusher system.
• Conduct minor troubleshooting and maintenance on the conveyor system, requiring mechanical aptitude.
• Operate/maintain heavy equipment including frontend loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, water trucks, and large excavators with clamshell buckets.
• Complete and maintain required daily paperwork.
• Assist Maintenance personnel as needed.
• Occasionally work in areas outside of normal duties when instructed by Supervision.
• Take an active role in the safety program, including attending safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors.
